FAQs
How to set up a tattoo appointment
Click here! This form will ask you to describe what you’re wanting for your next tattoo! Feel free to share as much information as you would like. Consider things like size and placement, color or black and grey, etc. All details are helpful!
What is the tattoo process like
If you have never had a tattoo before, or a tattoo from me before, here is what you can expect: when you come in the shop, we will go over your design to ensure you like what you see before we get started. I prep the skin before we begin tattooing which includes wiping the area with alcohol, and shaving. Once that is done, I place the stencil and we both have a chance to check out the placement. From there we start tattooing! During the tattoo, breaks are absolutely okay. I even take breaks during long appointments for myself to stretch. Don’t be afraid to ask if you need a minute! Pain level is really dependent person to person and even on location of the body. If you are at all worried about this aspect, feel free to shoot me a message and we can talk about what to expect, placements I recommend, or extra steps that can be taken to reduce pain levels.
What I recommend for aftercare
I typically wrap the tattoo with a bandage called Derm Shield. It is an adhesive bandage that stays on the skin for 3-5 days. There are times when I do not recommend this bandage and that mostly depends on an individual’s allergies or how their skin has responded to bandages previously. I recommend antibacterial soap and an unscented, dye-free, water-based moisturizer for my clients to care for their tattoos while they heal.
What to bring to your appointment
Absolutely bring your valid picture ID. You’re welcome to bring water, snacks, headphones, or even a tablet. It’s nice to have something to sip or snack on during a tattoo, and even a helpful distraction. Please remember to bring your form of payment.
Anticipated response time
I get back to everyone as soon as I can. It will be 12-48 hours after your inquiry comes through.
